NEW YORK, NY (October 28, 2015) – New York Women in Communications Foundation will host the 2015 Student Communications Career Conference, on Saturday, November 7th at NYU's Kimmel Center in New York City.  The conference allows students to gain insight and learn from experts in the communications industry who can provide advice and career tips, as well as share challenges they have faced navigating the rapidly changing landscape of communications.

Kicking off with keynote speaker Amy Odell, Editor, Cosmopolitan.com, the full-day event includes networking opportunities, informative panel discussions, Q&As and access to some of the most influential women in media. The various panel discussions will include conversations about content, building your personal brand, secrets to a successful job search, fashion & beauty, entrepreneurship, on–air television & radio broadcasting, marketing, public relations, advertising, non-profits, sports and entertainment.

“This conference is a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable guidance and insight on how they can advance their career in the communications field,” said Linda Descano, President, New York Women in Communications Foundation. “Attendees will be able to hear from—and interact directly with—specialists across our industry who will share their personal journeys, tips for success and advice for landing a dream job.”
