Georgia GalanoudisGeorgia Galanoudis is the Vice President of Communications for New York Women in Communications.

Georgia has spent her career helping brands find innovative ways to market themselves. Most often focused on the intersection of audience needs and brand DNA. Helping brands establish the common thread, or content strategy, that can add value and foster positive customer experiences. She’s worked at publishers and agencies such as Time Inc., Meredith, MXM and Imprint. Today, Georgia is currently VP, Strategic Planning at Rauxa where she’s joined forces with an agency with strong direct marketing experience. In addition to supporting NYWICI, she serves on the Board of Directors of The Content Council and on the Board of Advisors for HIMSS Media.

Why Georgia does what she does…

“To me progress is everything. If I can help a person, a brand, or an organization move forward, even in some small way, I’m happy.”

Drawn to NYWICI…

“Friends and colleagues often seek my advice when needing to evolve to meet new challenges. NYWICI does this at scale. I feel right at home.”

My favorite social media platform...

“Each has its purpose but personally, as more if a non-sharer, I find myself browsing through Twitter to uncover something new.”

Marketing/Media/Content/Video/Social’s biggest challenge…

“The belief in the power of an omni-channel approach exists; now the biggest challenge for brands is operationalizing and having the right agency skillsets on hand to drive creativity, efficiency and consistency.”

At the top of my trend watching list in 2017 is…

“I’m considering the balance of performance vs. brand marketing. Both are critical but what’s the right balance and how are we going to measure to optimize that?”

Off the clock, really…

“I enjoy exercising…yoga, Pilates, barre, swimming, biking, anything that’s going to keep me moving and let me eat some treats every now and then.”

Georgia’s nirvana…

“Hiking just about anywhere…the desert, the woods…that’s where I’m most content.”

Did you know…

“My training in the theatre set me up beautifully for my career…fueling creativity, collaboration, problem solving, comfort with constructive criticism and meeting impossible deadlines.”

Day to relive…

“I never look back. I believe that a ‘day to relive’ has yet to come!”

Words to live by…

“Inspired by curiosity and compassion.”
