Public Relations Intern - Full Time, Paid

Good Housekeeping Digital Internship

Good Housekeeping is looking for a Digital Intern for the Summer 2012 semester (June-August) to help with social media, the website and more. We need someone who is tech- and internet-savvy, a strong writer, reliable, organized, and eager to learn. Part-Time Public Relations Assistant Internship

Overview of Position:

Assistant will provide general administrative and PR support to owner and other Team members in the areas of PR, Marketing, Promotions, Event Management, and Traditional Media, New and Social Media, and Technology. Education:
Candidate who has a journalism, communications, marketing, and/or PR background would be a good fit for this position. However, if someone is studying business or business management can be a good fit also. Current students are fine as well as candidates with 1 – 2 years of experience.

Requirements:
• Must have strong PC skills and Technology/Social Media skills

Candidate must be available at least 15 – 20 hours per week with the possibility of putting in more hours for special projects and events. Candidate also needs access to a Personal Computer with Internet Access. Assistant will perform weekly administrative duties (i.e. follow-up with clients and prospective clients via phone and e-mail, email campaign, assist with newsletters, contracts, and proposals, etc.) Additionally, the Public Relations Assistant will help with marketing, follow-up with clients, daily action calls, maintain scheduling and meetings, and have the willingness to learn and adapt to changing and new responsibilities. Occasionally, Assistant will need to accompany the owner or represent the owner on Networking events/mixers, conventions, and client meetings.

Salary:
Our for-credit internships are usually non-paid in lieu of credit. We can provide a travel stipend for students looking for more experience and there is a strong possibility of commissions paid for taking the lead on closing accounts and bringing in clients.
