Long-Term Care Insurance

Long-term care insurance helps to pay for care if you have cognitive impairment or are unable to do two of these six activities of daily living: bathe, dress, eat, use the bathroom, transfer from a bed to a chair or are incontinent.

Women are more likely to provide care and, as a result, understand the difficulties of relying on family and friends to provide them with continuous care. Women live longer and consequently, are more likely to need care.

Long-Term Care insurance protects individuals and their families from the emotional and financial impact associated with a person needing long-term care; and it helps provide family harmony, professional care, asset preservation and peace of mind.

Through a major insurance company, a 5%-10% discount is extended to our members, to their spouse/partner, parents, grandparents and children; and to the parents, grandparents and children of the member's spouse/partner.

Members will have the opportunity to customize their own individual disability or long-term care plan – to meet their budget and insurance needs.
