The over 1,200 members of New York Women in Communications represent a broadly diverse industry, including public relations, advertising, print and broadcast journalism, book and magazine publishing, film and photography, new media, and graphic design.

New York Women in Communicationsis affiliated with The Association for Women in Communications, Inc. (AWC), the only international professional organization encompassing all communications disciplines. Established in 1906 as a women's journalism honorary society, today AWC has an international network of 7,500 members, including a wide array of communications professionals and students, and is dedicated to positioning its members on the forefront of the evolving communications era. Individual Membership—For communications
professionals who want to receive all the benefits
listed under Benefits.
Annual dues are $150 (one-time administration fee
$45).
Corporate Membership—For companies that
want to enhance their employees' personal and professional
growth and enable them to establish valuable new
contacts. Business membership provides all the benefits
of individual membership to ten designated employees
of the organization. These memberships are transferable
(at the June 1 renewal date) within the organization.
Annual dues are $1,000 with a one-time administrative
fee of $200.
Student Membership—Available to full
or part time students at the graduate or undergraduate
level in an accredited college or university. $45
per year (June 1 through May 31). $25 application
fee will be waived for Student Members. For more

Young Professional Membership—For recent
graduates (within 24 months) who are just starting
out in their communications careers and want to
enjoy the benefits of individual membership. Annual
dues are $75 with a $25 one-time administrative
fee.
Retiree Membership—For members
who have reached retirement age but want to continue
receiving our mailings, appearing in our directory,
and attending events at the membership rate. Annual
dues are $45.
Nonresident Membership—For individuals
who live and work outside the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut
tri-state area but want to receive our mailings,
appear in our directory, and attend events at the
membership rate whenever they are in New York City.
Annual dues are $45 with a one-time administrative
fee of $25.
New Membership Option—Lifetime
Membership: For communications professionals who
want to receive all the benefits listed under Benefits
for their lifetime. The membership is not transferable.
Dues: $1,000 (one-time administration fee for new
members $45.)
