NYWICI Coaching Program
In such turbulent times as these, many of our members are feeling the effects of an uncertain economy and anxiety about the future. Our goal at NYWICI is to provide you with the resources and support to help you navigate through these challenging times.
To that end, we are pleased to announce the first member benefit of this year: professional coaching and mentoring services. This area of member service has long been viewed as one of the highest-rated benefits that NYWICI could offer members.
Over the summer the NYWICI Board of Directors has been hard at work developing information, programs and resources on coaching/mentoring for our members. Here are the results to date:
The summer issue of our quarterly newsletter, NY MATRIX, featured an interview with Suzanne Levy, an executive coach, who helps clients focus on their personal and professional goals and to rebalance their priorities as needed.
The featured speaker at the first Cocktails & Conversation event this fall was Eileen Sharaga, a career counselor/coach who spoke about coaching and what it offers.
An Ask the Coach column has become an ongoing feature in every issue of NY MATRIX newsletter and in the Q&A Highlights in the Coaching section of this website.
Finally, as a member benefit, we've retained ten Coaches who have agreed to offer an initial free coaching session to current NYWICI members. Once you contact a coach to arrange for your free consultation, continuing visits and financial arrangements will then be your responsibility. If you've been thinking about working with an executive coach to achieve a higher level of personal/professional success, this benefit is invaluable.
The NYWICI Membership Committee is also working to secure other member benefits, such as discounts at retail stores, spa facilities and restaurants, which were also identified by the 2002 NYWICI Member Survey as being of great interest to you.
It is our hope that all of these resources will enhance the value of your NYWICI membership, and will help to nurture you in body, mind and spirit in the days ahead.
