NEW YORK, NY, January 18, 2007 -- New York Women in Communications, Inc. (NYWICI) will honor eight extraordinary women including Meredith Vieira, Cindy Adams and Arianna Huffington among others for its 2007 Matrix Awards, it was announced today. The ceremony, sponsored by AOL, will be emceed by Rosie O’Donnell, Moderator of ABC Television Network's “The View.” The 2007 Matrix Awards will take place during a luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria on April 23, 2007. The 2007 Awards acknowledge outstanding women who have distinguished themselves in the communications fields such as advertising, arts & entertainment, books, film, magazines, marketing, newspapers and radio.
This year’s Matrix honorees are as follows:

- Thelma Golden, Director and Chief Curator of The Studio Museum of Harlem
- Susan Lyne, President and CEO, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc.
- Arianna Huffington, Co-Founder/Editor In Chief, Huffington Post and author
- Meredith Vieira, Co-Anchor, NBC News’ “Today”
