I am a future Army ROTC Cadet in the Bobcat Battalion, beginning in my sophomore year. Drexel University is often known for their Cooperative Education Program. The Cooperative Education or "Co-op" program allows students to work full time for up to six months to get experience in the field they are studying. Hello. My name is Kelli Nunez. I am a senior at the University of St. Thomas, in Houston, Texas. I am a communications major, with an emphasis in broadcasting. I am very interested in acquiring an internship which will both expose me to the world of broadcasting, and increase my knowledge of the field. As a competitive self-starter, I understand the importance of taking direction when asked and leadership when needed. Through multiple volunteer projects including, yet not limited to, the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Centro Latino, and the mid-Missouri Food Pantry, I understand the importance of volunteer work not only in my own community, but on a much larger scale as well. While interning at Ad Express, I learned how to compile a variety of promotional products for various companies. This package of items helped them to better serve their own customers, while at the same time turning a profit for the ad agency in an uncertain market during uncertain economic times. As a savvy member of today's society, I understand the problems faced by many Americans. More food might mean less heat and energy, a nicer car might have been a fun thought only a few years ago, but is possibly a faint dream today. I believe that understanding how the everyday consumer thinks and acts helps to make me a versatile, worthwhile intern candidate.
