It was a beautiful spring day in April. And it was a beautiful spring day in the Main Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria on Matrix Monday, April 28. All lavender and soft green (Matrix colors!), the room was adorned with flowers, lovely lights and 1300 industry guests.
NYWICI President Patrice Tanaka led off with a gracious welcome, followed by NYWICI Foundation President Debra Shriver, who introduced this year's NYWICI scholarship winners (a wonderful addition to the program!). Beth Comstock, representing this year’s host GE/NBC, gave a strong intro to the event, and from that point on it was SNL’s delightful and hilarious Tina Fey and a dais full of powerful, funny, passionate and incisive honorees and their introducers. A great day was had by all.
